OUR SHOP POLICY

  • Parental / Legal Guardian Consent is required on all piercings administered at The Ink Room below the age of 16 years. Proper government ID is required in the form of:

    • Passport

    • Driver’s License

    • Health Card with Photo

    • Ontario Photo (BYID) Card

    • Birth Certificate with Student Card

    We do not perform genital (penis, labia, clitoris, etc.), snake eyes (tongue), web (tongue), or frog eye (tongue) piercings.

    We do not pierce infants under the age of 8 months. We do not pierce nipples on any persons under the age of 18, NO EXCEPTIONS.

    We reserve the right to refuse service.

  • The required age for a tattoo at The Ink Room is 18 with proper government identification. Any persons aged 16 and 17 may get a tattoo with proper identification of both the client and the parent / legal guardian. No persons under the age of 16 will receive a tattoo at The Ink Room, regardless of parental / legal guardian consent.

  • All persons receiving either a piercing or tattoo under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. Parent or legal guardian must be present during the time the service is rendered. A note from the parent or guardian will not be accepted. Family members other than the parent or legal guardian will not be accepted to give consent. Parent or legal guardian must have a valid form of government identification.
